Netflix Watch Instantly

This morning I was thinking of all of the ways that I can watch the content in my Netflix Instant Queue...

Windows Vista Media Centers Netflix Plug-in (4)
TiVo HD (2)
Xbox 360 Elite with Gold Xbox Live Membership
Xbox 360 Elite access PlayOn Server running on my media server
Sony PS3 via PlayOn Server
Boxee running on a Hackintosh OS X 10.5.4

…but I rarely do it!

I still prefer watching DVDs that I have ripped to my media server in ISO format and viewed using the My Movies plug-in on VMC. The DVD ISO images provide the contents of the entire DVD on demand including the menus and extra features. Or I watch higher quality 720p or 1080p MKV files via My Movies or Blu-ray discs on the PS3 or VMC.

I am looking forward to the day when Netflix can stream true HD all the extra features of a DVD or Blu-ray disc.
